  1. Do you guys have any plans for any other series you plan on subbing? If not might I suggest Deadman Wonderland? 😀

    • Copy-pasted from an earlier thread in which we were asked about this:

“We’ve talked about it a bit, but haven’t really decided on anything. Musou_Mitai and I are both interested in Moshidora, and I’m wet-my-pants excited about a new Appleseed (though I know nothing about it other than the fact that it’s Appleseed, which to my mind means it’ll most likely be awesome), so those are possibilities.

In all honesty, though, whether we do a show or not and even what we do is going to be based on whether we need to do something. We stepped in on Bakuman because there were no decent subs being released in a timely manner, but if all the shows we’re interested in next season get picked up by fast, reliable groups, it’s pretty likely that we’ll just sit back and enjoy them while letting others do the hard work ^_^.”

My feelings on the coming season haven’t really changed — and to be honest, Musou_Mitai works harder than I do anyways, so it’ll be about 75% up to him :P. He does say he’s interested in Deadman Wonderland, by the way, but several groups have already declared plans to sub it, so we’ll see.

  2. Hello..

thanks for the hardwork! been following you since your 3rd release, and I loved your work!
since you started on a manga project, I have a suggestion of a new weekly manga, started a while ago by the name of Kangoku Gakuen (Prison School)
The premise is pretty interesting, it’s about an all-girl school that turned into mixed one, but only 5 male students could get into it. Don’t think it’s your normal harem manga! it’s but pretty much the opposite! They tried to take advantage of the situation but failed big time.. it’s really comedic and awesome manga. Only one chapter has been translated into English and I think you may like it. Hope you do pick it up! It’s a new series of 2011 so there is not much workload and backlog of the manga.
    Best regards!

    • Whoops, I didn’t even see this! Musou_Mitai does a lot more work than me, so project decisions are basically up to him, but I will point him in the direction of your post, and see what he thinks.

    • Sorry about that. I’ve been crazy busy this last week with work and the changes the group in going through.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as our group is still only the two of us at the moment, we aren’t able to take on a bunch of projects all at the same time. I personally have a series I would like to finally get around to releasing and I know ObsidianTK has some things he would love to see me translate, so I just don’t see us picking up this series right now. We hope you continue to follow us, though. Red Hawk Scanlations just released our translation of chapter 3 with their cleaning and typesetting. I made a post a little while ago, so be sure to check that out.

  3. how about this manga? it’s called Ikkyu Hanasaka, ( http://mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=63044 ) the first chapter was just released in this week’s WSJ.
it’s about ayakashi(some sort of fiend) who challenges people to a battle of wits, and if they won, he will grant them one wish, and if they lost, he will devour their souls. there was one guy who beat him, and uses the wish for the sake of people.
I think it’s a very interesting concept and may turn to shaman king/gash bell kind of fighting, who knows..

I suggest picking this manga since you appear not decided which series to pick after silver spoon.. thanks in advance!

    • Thanks for the heads up!

And you’re right, I do buy WSJ and I read the first chapter of this manga last week. I enjoyed it and am going to keep an eye on it to see if it stays interesting, but I’m not sure I want to translate it yet or not. Also, seeing as how it’s in such a major magazine, I wouldn’t be surprised if a different group decides to do it.

      • no problem!

I am sure about the ability of the mangaka too, but just wanted to mention it to you, help you decide the next project if you are going to do one. but I guess you are more exposed to new mangas and such and would have better choice of it.

  4. I can upload the first chapter if you want, but I think MusouMitai has already subscribed to WSJ and saw the series! 😀

  5. I thought you were going to pick your next project soon, what happened?

  6. We’re still looking for cleaners. Everybody to whom we’ve sent the cleaning test has vanished without reply.

  7. What about now? I hope the idea isn’t dead..

    • Not dead, just on hold… We have a series we’d like to do and I’ve already scanned chapters, but I’m on vacation and neglecting anything manga related and we still have no idea on how to go about finding good cleaners to help us out. And without cleaners, I have very little motivation to actually translate…

  8. I had a question for you all, in the First Chapter of Silverspoon on you guy’s presentation page there’s a manga of a man in a suit pulling along a school girl. I was wondering if you could please tell me what Manga that is from as I’m interested in looking into it.

Thank you and wonderful Job on your work!
