We have officially moved!
Due to recent changes and our decision to provide you with an online reader for our releases, we’ve decided it would be easier to manage things if we had our own domain instead of using the free wordpress site. All future news and releases will be available at our new home.
Hope to see you there!
Hello everybody. We hope you enjoyed the first chapter of Gunota Girl we released last weekend. We also just released chapter two, so be sure to check the post below or go here.
We have some more news for you, though! We’ve been working on setting up an online reader the last few days and it’s finally ready! Now you can enjoy our releases from wherever you may be! Have fun ^_^
Read Online Now!
It’s been a great ride! We would both like to thank everybody for all the support that we’ve received these last few months. Both of us were completely inexperienced fansubbers when we first started this series, but thanks to all the feedback and suggestions, I think we’ve improved quite a bit. There have been times when I got frustrated and thought about quitting, but I remember why I keep going whenever I read all the positive comments we get from you guys.
We have not yet decided when (or if) we will come back to the fansubbing scene. Translating and timing this series has been a huge drain on my personal free time, causing stress for both me and my editor (he has to listen to me complain all the time). Like my editor mentioned before, if we do decide to pick something up in the future, we will most likely recruit some people to take some of the workload off of the two of us.
In the meantime, know that we will both be here, silently judging all you other groups. If we feel that our greatness is needed because you aren’t doing a series proper justice, we may just step in.
Hey all you Bakuman fans! Our batch file is finally available!
Here are some of the changes I made:
-All episodes now use the most recent font size/position.
-Chapters added for all episodes.
-Translations fixed and/or tweaked in many places
-Azuki’s anime OP/ED songs were released in the real world, so the translations have been fixed.
-Hard subs in earlier releases were redone as soft subs.
Some of you asked if were we going to go back and do episodes 13 and 14 to ‘fill the gap,’ but I just don’t have the time/motivation to do translations and timing for episodes that are so far in the past. I apologize to all the anal retentive people out there (my editor can tell you that I’m one of the worst!) who like to have complete series all under one fansub group. [SubDesu] and [TMD_A-Destiny] both have solid versions, so if you need to fill the gap, grab one of those.
Keep an eye on the blog for future news. Thanks for making the last 3 months so great!
For the love of anime,
With Bakuman’s first season done, we’re going to take a break for a season for a number of reasons. The main one is that Musou_Mitai would really like to get his capture card working correctly with Japanese TV, so that we can work with a .ts and he can see the closed captions. When we start up again, we’ll also likely be recruiting a timer & an encoder to take some of the workload off of the two of us.
Then again, if we see a series we like get dropped mid-season… Well, to paraphrase one of modern gaming’s great heroes: “Wake us… When you need us.”
Greetings from a confused Tokyo. I know a lot of you out there are probably disappointed that anime has basically stopped for the last few days, but I’m sure you can find something else to do to fill your time while we wait (hint: try reading a book).
I realized I’ve been having Obsidian_TK do all the updates lately, so I figured I should make a post about my situation.
As many of you probly know, there was a massive earthquake and tsunami in The Land of Anime today, so things are pretty crazy. Musou_Mitai teaches English at a school in Tokyo, and he’s still stuck there since the trains aren’t running at the moment (at the time of writing this post, it’s about 9:30 PM over there). He’ll certainly be able to get home sometime tonight or tomorrow, but we’re both worried that the airing of anime may be delayed by the crazy shaking ground.
Hopefully Bakuman will be on schedule, and if it is, we’ll be translating it in our usual timely fashion, but if there are any TV schedule changes, we’ll keep you up to date!
UPDATE x2: Episode should have started 10 minutes ago, but all the channels are showing a speech about the state of the nuclear power plants in Fukushima. Still nothing on the official wobsite regarding a new air time, but I guess we should be more worried about peoples’ lives T_T;;
For manga readers, Musou_Mitai is crying like Hiramaru: “I get a weekend to reeeeeeest!”
